Fat Fueled Recipe: Rich Hot Cocoa
'Tis the season here in the Northeast! We're warming up with a rich Hot Cocoa filled with fat burning coconut oil, coconut milk and protein packed collagen powder. A little goes a long way with this recipe, so share the wealth and don't forget to hashtag your creations on social media with
1 cup almond milk
1/2 cup full fat coconut milk
2 tbsp cacao powder
2 tbsp cocoa butter (optional)
2 tbsp organic dark chocolate chips (we like Lily's brand)
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 tbsp Collagen Powder (we used Great Lakes Collagen Hydrosylate)
Sweetener of choice (optional)
1. Warm milks in a saucepan until steaming.
2. Whisk in remaining ingredients to combine.
3. When all ingredients are melted together, remove from the heat and blend with an immersion blender. You can also whirl in a blender, making sure to leave an opening in the top and to not to blend liquids that are too hot.
4. Enjoy topped with coconut cream or with a sprinkle of chocolate shavings!
